Former Tesco Direct frontman joins B&Q

Home improvement retailer targets ecommerce growth

B&Q, the UK's largest home improvement retailer, has hired former Tesco Direct pioneer Steve Robinson to advise the company on its ecommerce business.

Mr Robinson will join the Kingfisher owned company on an interim basis for a minimum of six months, according to trade paper Retail Week.

Besides launching the Tesco Direct non-food business, Mr Robinson has latterly been chief executive at M&M Direct, the catalogue and Internet discount clothing retailer.
