Aims to take the mystery out of floor/wall tile buying
National wall and floorcoverings retailer Topps Tiles is to open the first of its next generation stores on Saturday.
Its Milton Keynes unit will be the first to feature its new format, which includes areas devoted to projects - such as wet-rooms and underfloor heating - as well as dedicated zones where customers can spend time with store staff to understand issues associated with tile choice and installation.
The new store format also features interactive point of sale that allows shoppers to visualise the look of tiles in their own home using roomset software.
TV's Julia Kendall, best known as a designer on the DIY SOS programme, will be on hand at the new store launch.
