Luxury soft furnisher ends the year well

Listed soft furnishings group Walker Greenbank says full year sales will be 7 per cent up at £74m.

In a pre-close trading update, the parent company to premium furnishing brands Zoffany, Harlequin and Sanderson, said UK sales rose 5 per cent while revenue in the US is up around 4 per cent.

The biggest growth markets were the Far East (up 20 per cent), Eastern Europe (up 22 per cent) and the middle east, where the group almost doubled output (sales up 94 per cent).

It said it expected pre-tax profits to be slightly ahead of analyst forecasts when it releases its preliminary results in the week commencing 16 April.
