Premium designer upholstery brand Henderson Russell has named former Art Forma director Jason Blyth as its new managing director.

Mr Blyth joins the smart sofas business — part of the Meadowmead group — ahead of it exhibiting at the January Furniture Show at the NEC next month.

It has been a busy 12 months for the Long Eaton based company. Former Meadowmead sales and marketing director Matt O’Flynn left to become md at Collins & Hayes in the autumn, while — towards the end of last year — family shareholders invested £1m in the privately owned business.

Besides Henderson Russell, Meadowmead owns the Barton Products and John Sankey brands, as well as its iD division that produces sofas for John Lewis.
