Kitchens and bedrooms vertical Ashley Ann is increasing production capacity at its factory by 50 per cent to meet current and new demand.

The privately owned producer and retailer says the extra capacity will help it build on strong growth in the year to end March, when sales climbed by 20 per cent—more than £2m—to £12.4m.

Net capex increased to £150,688 (2014: £15,954) for the seven-store firm, which trades from showrooms across Scotland; at Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Stirling, Inverness, Perth and Thurso.

EBITDA rose 4.9 per cent to £540,804 while pre-tax profits more than doubled to £136,981. Year-end cash and equivalents declined to £251,306 (2014: £374,065).
