The retail brand—part of the Argos and Homebase owned Home Retail Group—has unveiled its new 17,000sqft basement space at the prime London location.

habitatTCRbasementIts design is an evolution of the mini-Habitat concept store in Chichester, which opened earlier this year, and is the brainchild of creative director Polly Dickens, creative manager Graham Copeland, and designer Matthew Long.

The new basement floor features a new fitted kitchen studio, cookshop, gallery space and lighting department, as well as an expanded furniture and upholstery floor.

Its ground floor and entrance marks the final phase of the TCR refurbishment project, and is expected to open in the spring of 2016.

The store will have a new main entrance with a redesigned central staircase, bespoke fixtures and a monochromatic design scheme with black timber flooring. It design will incorporate video walls with content developed to showcase online campaigns from Habitat’s website.
