The md of the lead trade association for UK furniture manufacturers says the January Furniture Show provides a platform for promoting British-made goods.

BFM’s Jackie Bazeley said the event—which takes place 24th–27th January 2016 at the NEC in Birmingham—is “enormously important” for its members.

33 have signed to exhibit at the show, including Alstons Upholstery, Ashley Manor, Collins & Hayes, Dar Lighting, Duresta, Ercol, Furmanac, G Plan Upholstery, Gascoigne Designs, Highgate Beds, Morris Furniture, Parker Knoll, Ultra Furniture, Whitemeadow and Wood Bros.

She added: “It provides a platform not only to launch new products, but also promote British furniture. The BFM supports the latter by having a stand showcasing a number of members' products which displays the quality of UK furniture and the talent we have in the industry."

January Furniture Show co-director Laraine Janes said: "To have the continuing industry support of the BFM is great news. There has been a huge emphasis on buying British and the promotion of home-based businesses over the past decade.”
