Content by Terence Conran—the upholstery and cabinet wholesale arm of the Conran group—grew sales to third party customers in the year to end March.

Sales to retailers and customers outside the group were up 8.4 per to £1.67m, despite an overall decline in sales of 4.3 per cent to £1.85m.

That was because sales to The Conran Shop—at home and abroad—fell from £386,000 in 2013–14 to just £174,000 in the latest period.

Pre-tax profit for the division, which rebranded earlier this year, trebled to £36,000. Besides the Conran Holdings group and Sir Terence Conran, shareholders include James Dyson, who holds more than a third of the company shares.
