International case goods manufacturer Jonathan Charles has launched JC Edited, a new brand and product line aimed at independent furniture stores.

The luxury furniture manufacturer — which employs 2,000 people across its own factories in Vietnam — introduced the brand at this week’s AIS Furniture Show.

JC Edited takes in a carefully curated programme of 20 items spanning dining tables and chairs to storage furniture such as a drinks cabinet and chest of drawers.

It is available in two finishes — country walnut and rustic grey — and has been engineered to meet a lower price point than its vast Jonathan Charles range of classic furniture designs. JC Edited dining tables are likely to retail from around £2,000.

Jonathan Charles — whose European offices are in Sheffield — has a global customer base with strong sales in the US and in emerging nations such as China and India.

Sales director Ann Coston said the interior design market had driven growth in recent years, but with improving trading conditions it hoped to engage with more furniture retailers.
