Industry furniture repair specialist FIRA Service Technicians is to expand its service to take bookings directly from consumers.

The Stevenage based supplier — whose customers already number major UK furniture retailers and suppliers — says the launch follows demand from consumers to repair goods out of warranty.

Richard Whitbread, technician manager for FIRA, said: “If you are a retailer or manufacturer and a customer has an item that requires a repair, but is out of warranty, then this new direct service could be suggested as an alternative solution.”

Available repairs including making good scratches and dents on timber furniture, repairing leather upholstery scuffs, as well as fixing divan beds, recliner mechanisms and power packs.
