The Furniture Makers' Company has issued the clarion call for entries to its Export Award, with the deadline less than a month away.

The Export Award was launched in 2016 to recognise excellence in promoting and selling British manufactured furniture, bedding and furnishings abroad.

It is part of the City of London livery company and furnishing industry’s charity's Manufacturing Guild Mark, and was previously won by fabrics manufacturer Panaz and office furniture manufacturer Boss Design.

The deadline for entries is July 10, 2018.

"The award recognises all aspects of how a business operates, including development initiatives and overseas’ markets penetrated," said Ben Burbidge, chairman of the Manufacturing Guild Mark.

"We encourage manufacturers of all sizes to submit applications as the size of the business concerned will be taken into account."
