Trade association BFM, the British Furniture Manufacturers, has appointed Annie Porter (below) as marketing and administration coordinator, based out of its new Long Eaton HQ.
She joins the furniture makers' trade body from an independent publisher in Nottingham. Her brief is to raise the BFM's profile.
"I'm looking forward to helping the BFM continue to grow and flourish and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of an organisation with an important industry role to play in training, government and international project work," Ms Porter said in prepared remarks.
BFM moved to The Exchange on Leopold Street in the East Midlands town after Mike Clare, founder of Dreams, sold the property that was previously its home to a developer.
