Timothy Oulton, the high-end British furniture and interiors brand, is this autumn opening a flagship showroom in Chelsea, London.

The 7,200sqft space has been planned since 2017 and is due to open this September in the Art Deco Bluebird Garage building on the King's Road, built for the Bluebird Motor Company in 1923.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Timothy Oulton has showrooms worldwide with its products in the UK sold through dedicated galleries in a number of high-class furniture and department stores.

In recent years, the retail space at the Bluebird Garage been occupied as a concept store by supermarket giant Sainsbury's and as a fashion-to-furniture store under The Shop at Bluebird fascia.

"The rich heritage of the estate and of Bluebird Garage, complements the brand’s traditional British collection," said Hannah Grievson, commercial property manager at Sloane Stanley, owner of the estate.

Tim Oulton, founder of Timothy Oulton, said: "It’s a special place, and we want to bring something very special to Bluebird, and to Chelsea. Inviting people into our home has always been at the core of our ethos, so we’re passionate that the gallery at Bluebird shows our home at its absolute best, and is not only a great furniture destination but it’s also a place to host and connect with people."
