Dewsbury manufacturer The Shire Bed Company has spent nearly £70,000 upgrading staff facilities as well as kitting out its employees with new uniforms.

Its five-figure investment has transformed an area of its old head office into a larger, more modern canteen space for use at break and social times, Shire Beds said in a press release.

Sales and marketing director Fara Butt said: "We look forward to strengthening the team spirit and investing further in the well-being of our employees. This involves providing excellent facilities where our staff can relax and recharge."

The company hosted an open event with food and drink for staff to mark the new canteen opening.
