A global investment fund management firm has upped its position in DFS, with funds under its control now holding 10 percent of the UK sofa market leader's shares.
Mutual funds managed by Franklin Templeton Investment hold more than 21.2 million shares in DFS, according to a statutory filing on Tuesday.
It had previously held 5.6 percent of the business.
The U.S headquartered investment firm's admiration for DFS is publicly documented. In accounts to March 2018, it said it "believe DFS remains a well-managed, market leading, cash generative business that is well positioned against its peers due to its high sales densities, scale benefits and vertical integration."
Franklin Templeton's press office was contacted late Tuesday but hadn't responded by the time of publication.
