Mike Wyatt has returned to upholstery group Sofa Brands International, becoming design director at its G Plan business.

Mr Wyatt was most recently at rival sofa maker Ashley Manor, who he joined from Sofa Brands back in 2015.

"Mike has a great track record in design and I am delighted he is joining what is a new and dynamic team at G Plan," said group CEO Ian Oliver via email.

Before joining Ashley Manor as design and development manager, Mr Wyatt had been design manager at G Plan sister brand Parker Knoll.

Mark Hales was G Plan design director until late last year. The business hasn't had a design director in the interim period.
