ACHICA has partnered the New Design Britain Awards in an initiative that will see finalists’ designs feature on the members-only lifestyle retailer’s website.

The New Design Britain Awards are organised by UBM Built Environment, which says the partnership provides graduate designers with the opportunity to kick-start their careers by providing an instant route to market.

The five finalists from the Accessories category will see their designs showcased in an exclusive commercial space on ACHICA’s website.

Its tie-up with the Awards will see the retailer’s brand director Liam Butler join a line up of 24 judges who will shortlist five designers from each of the six categories, namely Accessories, Furniture, Fabrics, Surfaces, Interior Design and Architecture.

Finalists will exhibit their work as part of the New Design Britain showcase at May Design Series, which takes place 17th–19th May 2015.
