Concessions have been installed at Shepherd’s Bush, Birmingham and Manchester
Maisons du Monde, the multichannel French furniture and home décor retailer, has launched its first UK physical stores following its earlier-announced tie-up with Debenhams.
It has installed concessions in three flagship Debenhams sites — Westfield Shepherd’s Bush, Birmingham Bullring and Manchester city centre — designed by the Maisons du Monde's inhouse design team in partnership with Prosper, a retail-focussed architect and interior design company. All three are now open.
58 percent of Maisons du Monde's €1 billion 2017 revenue was generated by home accents, with the remainder from hard furniture lines
The introduction of concessions — with clicks-to-bricks retailer Swoon another to have partnered Debenhams — will become a fundamental cog in the department store chain's home furnishings offer, after it last week announced it was exiting own-bought furniture.
